What the illuminati and the beleif in it's existence actually does is create fear and an feeling of helplessness in citizens A lot of the Illuminati hear-say comes from hip-hop and the best exploitation of it's occurrence comes from Pac who said that "the illuminati is used to make you less confident." This is why he put the "K" in front of Illuminati (Killuminati) because he wanted you to realize they were only trying to crush your confidence.
The other thing that you have to understand is that people love the lie. Kanye's Power is not about being part of the Illuminati, Eminem is not a baby/lady killer, and Lil'Wayne isn't the best rapper alive. But what the lie does is create a controversy which brings attention.
If I make a music video for Mind Control and it tells you how corporations are controling the media, but yet I use symbols like those in Lady Gaga's Paparazzi video. That doesn't mean it exists or that I identify with it. I could just be playing off the cultural sentiment because you will see it, I know that, and that's (my) art.

The fact is that The Federal Reserve is a private institution that lends every dollar to America on interest. The Rothschild family and other banking dynasties are who control industry in broad daylight for everyone to see.
